New Rally School and Course Opens in Washington State
Only Rally Course on West Coast Offers 275-Acre Playground for Car Enthusiasts

SNOQUALMIE, WA – DirtFish Rally School opened today in Snoqualmie, Washington, one of only three rally schools operating in the United States, and the only rally school and course on the west coast.

The 315-acre car enthusiast playground will host several training courses that range from a one-day introduction class to several day advanced classes.

“Rally has been the best kept secret in the racing world for years,” said Greg Lund, General Manager of DirtFish. “Its underground reputation has actually helped to grow the sport, especially among younger drivers and professionals.”

Rally driving appeals to a broad range of car enthusiasts due to the conditions each driver will face: Gravel logging roads, mountain passes, well groomed forest roads - these are what make up the roads for rally drivers.

Seasoned instructors and veteran racecar drivers will compose a team of instructors at DirtFish that provide expertise in all facets of driving. Ross Bentley, a performance coach, racecar driver, author, and speaker, is leading the development of curriculum for DirtFish and will play a day-to-day role in student instruction. His performance coaching spans executive/business coaching to sports including athletes and teams in a variety of sports, with a specialty in motorsports.

Bentley has the experience to back up his coaching claims: he won the 1998 GT3 United States Road Racing Championship and the 2003 SRPII Class Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.

When it comes to coaching, Bentley focuses on the mental game. “Ironically, when people focus on getting a particular result, like winning a race, they often don’t perform as well as they could have,” says Bentley. “But when the focus is shifted to performance, they actually perform better. That’s why in all our instruction we will help students focus on their performance, no matter what level of driving expertise they have.”

The cars at DirtFish are not just sports coupes with sponsor stickers and driving lights, they are true rally cars. Built by Vermont Sports Cars, they are all-wheel-drive Subaru rally cars with a 280-horsepower engine and are the same competition cars built for Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra in the Rally America series.

DirtFish Rally School will operate year round and is currently enrolling students for this fall and winter. Prices range from $895 for a 1-day introductory course to $2,795 for 3-day advanced instruction and driving. DirtFish will also offer corporate team building opportunities.
