A Win in the Final Round for Two AM Rallysport

Bancroft, Ontario -- The Rally of the Tall Pines, the final round in the Ontario Performance Rally Championship, was a success for the Two AM Rallysport team as they took home the Production 3 class win and a respectable 6th overall.

This year's rally was uncharacteristically warm and sunny, lacking the thin layer of snow usually found on the ground. This didn't make the rally any less challenging or the competition any less heated. "I'm super happy with the way things went, the car [a 1995 VW Golf] was perfect all day, all we had to do was put gas in it," said team owner/driver Andrew Miller. He adds, "Our class is full of some top notch cars and drivers, it's nice to come out on top."

In addition to the Ontario Championship, the Tall Pines was also the final stop on the National Championship. Two AM Rallysport faired almost as well in the National taking second in class ahead of their series rivals, being defeated only by the team of Charles Hammer/Patrick Peloquin who were entered for their first rally in the P3 class. Codriver for Two AM Rallysport Todd Patola said, "It's not surprising we couldn't catch him. He's new to the class but he's been around the sport and this rally for a long time. It just goes to show that experience helps."

This was the first rally with Two AM Rallysport for Todd. Having made the long trek from Port Alberni, BC to co-drive for the team, he was happy to be taking home a trophy. Driver Andrew Miller had this to say of his teammate, "He was great, I'm glad he made the trip, he was defiantly part of what got us the fine finish."

The Two AM Rallysport team finishes out a good year tied for third in the National P3 championship after taking a first, second and third places in the class over the course of the year. The class win at Tall Pines consolidates their third in P3 for the Ontario Championship. They now look forward to Rallye de Quebec in February.

The Rally of the Tall Pines will be televised on TSN on Saturday, December 15th at 12:30 PM.

The Ontario Performance Rally Championship consists of five events and the Subaru Canadian Rally Championship consists of eight events, run from February to November. Two AM Rallysport competes in the P3 class with help from its sponsors Volkswagen Waterloo, Dave's Tire Discounter, Frisco Auto Parts, Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change Centre and AM Innovations Inc.
