Widget Rally Team and RealAutoSport Team Up Again
Challenging for ClubRally National Championship

Thousand Oaks, California and Sand Springs, Oklahoma. -- RealAutoSport, LLC and the Widget Rally Team announced today that the two organizations would once again join forces to campaign the world's first New Beetle Rally Car in the upcoming SCCA ClubRally National Championships. Organized by Kim DeMotte and hosted in Salem, Missouri on Feb 23, 2002, the CRNC "shootout" is hosted by The Rally In The 100 Acre Wood and invites the top three ClubRally competitors from each of SCCA's eight divisions to vie for the title "National ClubRally Champion" in each of the five car classes. The team's Volkswagen races in the Production class (nearly showroom stock vehicles).

"We had a lot fun together overcoming many challenges on the upper peninsula of Michigan last October," said Halley. Early mechanical problems led to an off-road excursion that cost them their KC HiLiTES. "Leaving our high intensity discharge racing lamps by the side of the road cost us more time Friday night than we could make up despite winning the final daylight stages, but Dillon rose to the occasion when we needed to go hard. I'm confident we will hit those Missouri stages with a full head of steam," commented the driver. The pair finished second in Production at the 2001 Lake Superior ProRally elevating Halley to the podium in the season's championship. Dillon finished the 2001 season second in the Production GT title hunt.

Dillon echoed Halley's sentiments. "Mike is a smooth, quick driver and I'm comfortable in the car with him. I'm confident he's going to keep his cool and drive a smart race. Besides, he still owes me a Production win!" Dillon has co-driven to victory in many SCCA classes, but Production is not yet one of them.

The "StudBug," supported in part by Brad Noe VW of Tulsa, boasts new, trophy-winning paint and artwork by Eric Cameron of Hocus Pocus in Mannford, Oklahoma. Halley added, "It takes a lot of support to field a competitive team and I'm thankful that so many fine companies have chosen to help us." The RealAutoSport, LLC Rally Team is supported by Danny's Auto & Tire (918.865.4950), Cameron Collision and Restoration (918.865.3696), Competition Graphics (www.competitiongraphics.com), DMS Shocks (www.dmshocks.com) and KC HiLiTES. Dillon and the Widget Rally Team brings additional support from Porterfield Enterprises (www.porterfieldbrakes.com) and Shults Dot Com (www.shults.com). "We're known as 'partners in speed on the performance rally circuit,'" said the co-driver. "I'm pleased we're able to partner with Mike and RealAutosport LLC for this National Championship event."
