Colchester, Vermont -- Officials at Vermont SportsCar, based in Colchester, Vermont, announced today that they will be attending the upcoming Race-A-Rama Motorsports Tradeshow March 3rd - 5th, 2000 which is held annually at the Eastern States Exposition Center in Springfield, MA. Known for years as "the motorsports show of the year" throughout the Northeastern United States, Race-A-Rama regularly attracts thousands of visitors each and every spring. As a special treat this year, Vermont SportsCar will be displaying their extremely rare Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V Pro Rally race car for the entire three days of the show.

This 285 horsepower, all-wheel-drive Mitsubishi rocket ship competes in the US-based Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) ProRally Championship and is driven regularly by 1999 SCCA ProRally Production Class Champion Karl Scheible from Spencerport, NY. Along with close friend and co-driver Russ Hughes of Leroy, NY, the pair scored their very first victory of the championship season together at the Sno*Drift Pro Rally in Atlanta, Michigan on January 29th driving the Vermont SportsCar-prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V.

Vermont SportsCar will be sharing the booth space in the Better Living building at Race-A-Rama with other folks from the New England Region of the Sports Car Club of America as well as representatives from the Audi Mt. Washington Hillclimb - which is held each June at the Mt. Washington Auto Road in Gorham, NH. There will be a variety of professional and amateur built race cars on display in the booth including examples from ProRally, Roadracing, Hillclimbing and Time Trials (SOLO I & SOLO II).

In addition to sportscars on display in the SCCA booth, there will also be many examples from go-kart racing, stock car racing, drag racing and street rodding along with a variety of displays from the many tracks and organizations across the Northeastern US. Show hours for the three-day motorsports extravaganza are 5pm-10pm on Friday, March 3rd, 10am-10pm on Saturday, March 4th and 11am-5pm on Sunday, March 5th, 2000.
