Chad DiMarco Named Technical Director for
the Tombstone Paintball Widget Rally Team

Huntington Beach, California -- Chad DiMarco of Sube Sports announced today his partnership with Leon Styles of the Tombstone Paintball Widget Rally Team. Styles, who won the 2002 SoPac divisional and California Rally Series championships, has moved up to National competition with a new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution rally car for 2003. He approached DiMarco asking for coaching, especially in the area of car setup and driver technical development.

"Now that we're stepping up to the full National season," reported Styles, "I realized that I could use Chad's help to reach the next level." DiMarco is a five-time U.S. national champion, including four crowns in Group A and one overall. His new team title is officially "Technical Director." In addition to coaching Styles, DiMarco will be teaching Leon how to set up the car for maximum performance and reliability.

When asked about the areas he feels he can be most helpful, DiMarco responded, "Leon is quick because he has that uncanny ability to 'feel' the car while rallying, but we hope to help him better understand the physics of the car in competition. I'm more of a technical driver rather than a 'feel' driver, so I think I can give him a good basis in the physics of the vehicle and in vehicle dynamics. Adding scientific analysis to his seat-of-the-pants driving style will make Leon a formidable contender on the national circuit."

"Leon has incredible car control," reports his codriver John Dillon. "One need look no further than his amazing drive last December at the Ramada Express International Rally. Though he'd never driven the new Evolution before, he proved to be second fastest overall on the very first stage. With Chad's input I think Leon will regularly put us on the podium."

The team plans to use the Seed 9 RallySprint on March 29th, hosted by the Las Vegas Region SCCA, as its first thorough training session. DiMarco will continue his support throughout the year, beginning with the team's first national rally, the Rim of the World Rally, on May 2nd and 3rd.

The Tombstone Paintball Widget Rally Team is supported by Tombstone Paintball Park, Porterfield Enterprises, Shults Dot Com, Sampson Communications, and 7-24 AirX. For more information about the team, visit www.WidgetRacing.com. For information about Sube Sports, visit www.subesports.com.
