Grass Valley California -- The Jagged Edge Motorsports Rally Racing team from Grass Valley California announced today that Karen Wagner Team Manager will co-drive her first rally with Scott Kovalic in his PGT Mitsubishi Talon. Both driver and co-driver are rookies and will be competing to finish and gain experience.
Karen has always had a passion for motorsports and has really enjoyed her role as team manager for Jagged Edge Motorsports over the past several years and the experience she has obtained from that. Her goal was to eventually rally race and recently she completed a rally school to help to accomplish that. For the 2006 season she will be co-driving with her first event being Oregon Trail Rally April 21-23, 2006 Hillsboro, OR. Navigating will be a great way to gain more experience but also to help her better understand the dynamics of a rally race car.
The goal for the 2007 season is to compete for a Rally America rally Championship as a driver but in the meantime it is all about gaining experience and having fun along the way!
"Our goal for the rest of the 2006 season is to get Karen into the drivers side of the car and get a few rallies under her belt. Then in 2007 we would like to run a 2 car team with one being an all women team with Karen the driver" states Sans Thompson, driver of the Jagged Edge Motorsports Dodge Neon.
